What words could I say, or thoughts should I write,
to woo the young girl, in whom I delight?
Could I say in a line, everything that I feel,
if I wrote it just plain, would to her, it be real?
If I scrawled every word from my head, to the page,
would that make me a fool, or as wise as a sage?
Could my phrase grip her heart, or make her shed a tear,
would my rhyme help us start, or for me, her not care?
